Alaska Attempted Murder Suicide by Shooting

Here is another one.

When you start paying attention, there are an awful lot of these.  They don't always make the national news.  But they are there, week after week day after day, usually more than one of these every week.

If you look.  Crimes of gun violence, crimes of impulse where the ease of instrumentality using a firearm is an integral part of the event.

From the AP, from KTUU tv and MSNBC.com:

DGU's?  Legitimate ones? I've seen one so far this year, in Oklahoma. ONE.

  2. FWM, you do realize that out of every 5 DGUs you come up with 2 or 3 are bogus right?

Meanwhile, out of every improper use of the gun we come up with, every damn one is improper.

So, when you add ours up with the bogus ones on your list, it comes to about 100 to 1. We win.

You should just forget the DGU argument.

  3. Mikeb302000,

Just how do you come up with the idea that two or three out of every five reported defensive uses of a gun are bogus? You do enjoy inventing numbers on the spot, and it never ceases to amaze me that Dog Gone doesn't swoop in to smack you for that.
