Richard Dreyfuss on Piers Morgan

  1. Dreyfus says a few good things there, but the essence of his position is wrong-headed. The right to own and carry firearms is an individual right, not a collective one, no matter what organization represents that collective.

    1. Greg, what the hell's wrong with you? He said "a few good things?" What, like collecting guns and turning them over to the NRA?

    2. He said the NRA isn't evil and that said organization should offer training. The latter is already the case, of course. Did you note that I said the essence of his position is wrong?

  2. I get the impression that Piers was surprised. He was expecting the standard backing liberal mindset, especially since Mr. Dreyfus hasn't really been in the limelight on this issue.

  3. Dam straight he is wrong headed. Leave the nations gun decisions to the NRA whose board members like Ted Nugent are racist hate mongers.

    1. We certainly aren't leaving gun decisions to you.

    2. Thanks for agreeing the NRA is run by racist hate mongers, and that you support that kind of leadership. No surprise, but thanks for the clarity of your position.

    3. No, I don't agree, but I don't see the need to address every nonsense comment made by trolls.

    4. Yes , you did agree. Should the NRA have the authority to make national gun laws? Again, no answer, so this, "We certainly aren't leaving gun decisions to you" means you won't leave gun decisions to the people in a representative Democracy.

Actually anon, I think Greg means quite the opposite. The gun control lobby has many items on their wish list, yet for the most part are thwarted by the mechanism of a representative democracy.

    6. He said no such thing, but thanks for making up reasons to support Greg the criminal. It shows your willingness to be outside the law, like Greg.

    7. Anon,
You're quite welcome to go back into my history and pick out quotes from me if you wish. I don't always agree with Greg, but I do try to keep things respectful and stick to facts.
My interpretation of Greg's comment was that the Democratic process we have in the US tends to keep legislation fairly well away from extremes on both sides. There are regional differences and when it moves too far to one side, the process corrects things.
Greg commented that the right to bear arms was individual, not to be administered by any group, whatever side they may be on. You seem to disagree with Greg just because he's Greg.

    8. Yes, I disagree with Greg because he is Greg, because Greg has proven to be a liar and criminal. Do you always agree with liars and criminals?

    9. It's hard to tell what Greg actually said in between wild remarks like, "We certainly aren't leaving gun decisions to you." and "I don't see the need to address every nonsense comment made by trolls." It's sometimes hard to find any substantive remark hidden within diversionary nonsense like that.

But, by all means, defend him, ss. And defend Richard Dreyfuss while you're at it. Nothing wrong with turning over confiscated guns to the NRA and allowing them to make policy. Anonymous mentioned their board of directors including racist idiots like Ted Nugent. I would be more concerned with their gun manufacturing bedfellows.
